Hi, I’m Jadyn!

Hello! I am a proud graduate of Winona State University, majoring in I-Design with a dual concentration in Technology and Interactivity and Integrated Studies. My academic journey has fueled my passion for art and design and broadened my perspectives through immersive experiences.

Outside the studio, you might find me paddling a canoe or kayak, enjoying the peaceful waters, or gathering around a campfire with good company. These moments in nature allow me to tap into my creativity from various angles and inspire my work.

When I am not outdoors, I love to unwind by baking something delicious or diving into the latest video games—each hobby offering its form of creative expression and relaxation.

My Study Abroad Experience

During my time at school, I realized how deeply I wanted to immerse myself in fashion—a passion that had been growing with every new sewing or design project. That’s when I decided to push beyond my comfort zone and study abroad in Florence, Italy, a place I’d always dreamed of visiting. In the months leading up to my departure, I threw myself into learning various techniques, determined to make the most of my time there. Despite the nervous excitement of leaving my safe haven of friends and family, I spent three and a half months in Florence without knowing a single person—not even my future roommates. Each day felt like a chance to grow: stepping out of my familiar routines, soaking in the vibrant local culture, and discovering just how far my passion for fashion could take me. While in Florence, I continued my fashion studies by taking classes in apparel design, visual merchandising, and leather working, but my favorite was a sketching course that had me roaming the city’s streets. It opened my eyes to hidden corners of Florence and deepened my appreciation for its breathtaking architecture, art, and design.

Over time, my roommates became friends, and we set out to explore different corners of Europe—Amsterdam, Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona—sharing stories, laughing through mishaps, and bonding over new experiences. Each destination brought its own challenges and joys, making every trip an adventure in growth and discovery. Looking back, I’m so grateful I took this leap: it not only expanded my understanding of fashion and art, but it also changed how I view the world and my place in it. Sometimes the best way to learn is by stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing everything life has to offer.
